DENVER, CO — The Front Range hiring calendar wakes up in September, and this fall the busiest corner of it is not downtown. Twelve verified hiring events are on the fall calendar, seven of them listed by Arapahoe/Douglas Works!, the public workforce center serving Arapahoe and Douglas counties, plus a French-American expo on the Auraria Campus, a two-state job fair at the Adams County Human Services Center in Brighton, Macy's holiday hiring day at five metro stores, a USPS job fair at the mail plant on East 53rd Place and an evening sales career fair in the Denver Tech Center. None of them lists an admission fee, and ten have already taken place.

Twelve confirmed events between September 16 and November 18, from school-jobs hiring days in Aurora and Centennial to about 400 USPS mail handler openings and an evening sales fair in the DTC; ten have already taken place.

Workforce Colorado Career Fair — Wednesday, September 16

This is the biggest general-admission fair of the bunch and the one to prioritize if you only make it to one. It runs in the Littleton Rooms on the main floor, and the published employer roster is genuinely mixed: Arapahoe County, the Aurora Police Department, Aurora Public Schools, BMO Financial, AlloSource, Kelly Education, Air Care Colorado, American Automation Services, ASB Branding and Fulfillment, and Philip Morris International. Entry level through experienced, which is unusual for a single room. Veterans and eligible spouses get priority of service starting at 10:00 a.m., a half hour before general admission. Career services staff from A/D Works! will be on site too, so you can get a resume looked at while you are there. Register through Connecting Colorado before you go.

Aurora Public Schools Walk-In Hiring Event — Thursday, September 24

The district is hiring well beyond classroom teachers: counselors, nurses, administrative and professional staff, custodians, nutrition services, transportation mechanics and bus drivers, and interns. School district work is worth a look if you want a schedule that tracks the academic calendar and a benefits package that starts on day one. 9th Annual Encore Career Fair — Wednesday, October 7

Now in its ninth year, the Encore fair is run by Arapahoe/Douglas Works! with the City of Centennial and the Centennial Senior Commission, and it is built for the second-act job seeker: people staying in the same field, people switching late, and people who just want holiday-season income. It meets in Meeting Room A. Veterans and spouses get the first half hour, 9:00 to 9:30 a.m.; general public runs 9:30 to 11:30. Bring a resume. The American Association of Teachers of French and the Rocky Mountain French-American Chamber of Commerce fill the Tivoli's Turnhalle with 16 confirmed exhibitors so far, including Denver Health, Danone USA, Airgas, Babolat and Exail, plus the city's economic development office, Workforce Colorado, schools and cultural groups. It is pitched at college students, early-career candidates and working professionals, and attendance is free with registration through the AATF event page. Wyoming/Colorado Job Fair in Brighton — Tuesday, October 13

The Adams County Workforce & Business Center hosts its site of a regional job fair that spans five workforce regions and two states, and the county calls it the event that draws the most employers and the most job seekers every year. It runs hybrid: you can show up in Brighton or work the virtual booths from home, which puts Wyoming and northern Colorado employers within reach if you are open to commuting, relocating or a rotation schedule. Veterans get priority entry. Express Employment Industrial & Skilled Trades Hiring Event — Wednesday, October 14

This one is narrow on purpose, and that is the good news if it fits you. Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for industrial and skilled trades roles only: cleanroom technician, electronics assembler, aerospace technician, CNC machinist and programmer, line operator, assembly technician, soldering technician with IPC 610 or 620, and quality control inspector. That roster maps straight onto the aerospace and advanced-manufacturing cluster that runs along the south metro. The organizer asks you to apply online first and then bring a resume to the event for immediate consideration, so do the application before October 14 rather than after.

Kelly Education Hiring Event — Tuesday, October 20

Same Thursday, a different kind of job. Macy's runs a nationwide holiday hiring day on October 22, and all five metro stores take walk-ins for seasonal work: Cherry Creek at 15 S. Steele St., Town Center at Aurora on East Alameda, Park Meadows in Lone Tree, FlatIron Crossing in Broomfield and Orchard Town Center in Westminster. No registration is needed, but Macy's suggests applying online first, and event hours vary by store, so call the one you plan to visit. Macy's has not published a headcount for Colorado. Miss it, and the last hiring day of the season is Thursday, November 19. → See details

USPS Denver Job Fair — Monday, October 26

The Postal Service is trying to hire about 400 people for its Denver mail processing operations this fall, mostly Mail Handler Assistants starting at $19.02 an hour. This is plant work in the northeast Denver industrial corridor, not a carrier route, and supervisors will be on hand to walk you through the online application, which is the only way USPS hires. A second fair follows at the same address on Friday, November 6, from noon to 3:00 p.m. Create your USPS Careers account before you go, and check the eligibility rules first, since a background check and drug screening come with the job. → See details

Denver Sales Career Fair — Wednesday, November 18

A different kind of night. United Career Fairs brings a free evening career fair to the DTC built around one kind of job: sales and sales management, from outside and inside sales to account managers, account executives and business development. Hiring companies give short presentations, then sit down with job seekers for interviews in the same room. The organizer says no formal sales background is required, which opens the door to bartenders, retail leads and anyone else who sells all day under another title. No employer list or pay figures have been published, and no end time is posted. Pre-register with your resume on the official event page, bring at least 15 printed copies and come dressed for an interview. → See details

⚠️ Read This Before You Drive

Most of these events sit outside Denver city limits, in Aurora, Englewood, Centennial and Brighton, and that matters for more than your commute. The French-American expo on the Auraria Campus was inside the city, and Cherry Creek was the only one of the five Macy's stores within it. Denver runs its own minimum wage ordinance, and it is well above the state floor: as of January 1, 2026, work performed inside Denver city limits pays at least $19.29 an hour, or $16.27 for tipped food and beverage workers. Step outside the city line and the Colorado state minimum of $15.16 applies unless that municipality has adopted its own rate.

The rule that decides which number you get is the address where the work is performed, not where you live and not where the company keeps its headquarters. A warehouse job in Montbello and the same job in Aurora, twenty minutes apart on I-70, can carry different legal floors. Worth asking about at the table.

Two practical notes. Most Workforce Colorado events want you registered in Connecting Colorado before you arrive, and doing it in advance gets you through check-in faster. And a walk-in hiring event is not the same thing as a job fair — the Aurora Public Schools sessions were one employer in a lobby, so go to that kind of event with a specific job in mind rather than expecting a room full of booths.

  • Substitute teaching or classroom aide work, no experience: Kelly Education's October 20 session has passed, and the same session runs again on November 10 at CentrePoint. A diploma gets you in the door.
  • Holiday retail: Macy's October 22 hiring day is over; its last hiring day of the season is November 19.
  • Warehouse and plant work with a federal employer: October 26 or November 6 at the USPS plant on East 53rd Place, where Mail Handler Assistants start at $19.02 an hour.
  • Sales, or selling under another job title: November 18 in the Denver Tech Center, an evening fair with interviews on the spot.

What to Bring to Any of Them

Do these Denver job fairs cost anything?

None of the twelve lists an admission fee. Arapahoe/Douglas Works! is a public workforce center funded through the U.S. Department of Labor, and its events do not charge admission. USPS says applying for its jobs is free, and the November 18 sales fair is free for job seekers. If anything calling itself a Denver job fair asks you for money, that is your signal to walk.

Do I have to register in advance?

Arapahoe/Douglas Works! events take registration through Connecting Colorado, the state's job-seeker platform. USPS hires online only, so set up your USPS Careers account before the October 26 fair. The November 18 sales fair asks you to pre-register with your resume on the organizer's event page. Registering ahead never hurts and usually speeds up check-in.

I live in Denver proper. Are these too far?

Aurora CentrePoint Plaza sits just off East Alameda near I-225, roughly twenty to thirty minutes from most of central Denver outside rush hour, and it is reachable on RTD. The Centennial Workforce Center is at 6974 S. Lima St. The USPS fairs are at 7500 E. 53rd Pl., just north of I-70, and the sales fair is at the Embassy Suites Denver Tech Center off I-25, where a 6:00 p.m. start lands in the evening rush.

Are any of these events restricted?

None are closed to the public. USPS jobs carry their own eligibility rules, including a background check and drug screening, so read them in our USPS guide before you go. The school events were open to anyone, though Kelly Education asks for a high school diploma or associate degree.

What is the minimum wage in Denver right now?

Denver's citywide minimum wage is $19.29 an hour in 2026, with a $16.27 floor for tipped food and beverage workers. Colorado's statewide minimum is $15.16, or $12.14 as a tipped cash wage. Denver's higher rate applies to work physically performed inside city limits.
