BRIGHTON, CO — The north metro's busiest hiring room this fall is not a hotel ballroom or a convention hall. It's a pair of meeting rooms inside the Adams County Human Services Center off South Adams County Parkway, where the county's Workforce & Business Center runs its multi-industry job fairs, and it has two of them on the calendar between now and Thanksgiving.

Two Adams County job fairs, both in Brighton, both 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Tuesday, October 13 and Thursday, November 12. Registration is required for both, and veterans get in the door first.

Wyoming/Colorado Job Fair — Tuesday, October 13

This is the big one, and it isn't really an Adams County event so much as an Adams County seat at a much larger table. The county describes the fair as a recruitment event spanning five workforce regions and two states, the one that "draws the most employers and the most job seekers every year." The job openings run from the Denver metro all the way up into Wyoming, which makes it unusually useful if you're willing to commute, relocate, or work a rotation schedule.

It runs hybrid. You can show up in Brighton and shake hands in Rooms Apple A&B, or you can log in from your kitchen table and work the virtual booths. Both count. The virtual side is what puts Cheyenne and Casper employers within reach of somebody sitting in Commerce City.

One caveat worth knowing before you plan your Tuesday: as of this writing the county's event page still says the registration link is coming soon, and no employer roster has been published for the October date. The November fair is the county's own, it's free for job seekers, and it's built for breadth rather than depth. The Workforce & Business Center runs these rooms for up to 30 employers at a time, across multiple industries, and the pitch is not just "here are our openings" but also application guidance and a straight answer about what a career pathway in that field actually looks like.

That second part matters more than it sounds. If you've been applying online for three months and hearing nothing, two hours in a room where a hiring rep will tell you what's wrong with your application is worth more than another fifty submissions.

Registration runs through Connecting Colorado, the state's workforce system. If you've ever filed for unemployment in Colorado or worked with a workforce center, you likely already have an account. If not, creating one takes a few minutes and it's the same login you'll use for the October fair.

⚠️ Don't Drive to the Wrong Building

Adams County runs two human services buildings, in two different cities. Both of these job fairs are at 4430 South Adams County Parkway in Brighton, on the county government campus. The other one, the Pete Mirelez Human Services Center, sits at 11860 Pecos Street in Westminster and hosts a different slate of events entirely.

People get this wrong every year. Put the Brighton address in your phone the night before, not in the parking lot.
