Adams County Job Fairs Come to Brighton: North Metro Hiring Events This Fall

BRIGHTON, CO — The north metro's busiest hiring room this fall is not a hotel ballroom or a convention hall. It's a pair of meeting rooms inside the Adams County Human Services Center off South Adams County Parkway, where the county's Workforce & Business Center runs its job fairs, and one of its two fall fairs is still on the calendar before Thanksgiving.

Two Adams County job fairs, both in Brighton, both 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Tuesday, October 13 and Thursday, November 12; the October 13 fair has already taken place. The November date is a free healthcare job and resource fair that registers through Connecting Colorado.

Wyoming/Colorado Job Fair — Tuesday, October 13

This event has passed.

This is the big one, and it isn't really an Adams County event so much as an Adams County seat at a much larger table. The county describes the fair as a recruitment event spanning five workforce regions and two states, the one that "draws the most employers and the most job seekers every year." The job openings run from the Denver metro all the way up into Wyoming, which makes it unusually useful if you're willing to commute, relocate, or work a rotation schedule.

It runs hybrid. You can show up in Brighton and shake hands in Rooms Apple A&B, or you can log in from your kitchen table and work the virtual booths. Both count. The virtual side is what puts Cheyenne and Casper employers within reach of somebody sitting in Commerce City.

One caveat worth knowing before you plan your Tuesday: as of this writing the county's event page still says the registration link is coming soon, and no employer roster has been published for the October date. Healthcare Connect Job and Resource Fair — Thursday, November 12

The November fair is the county's own, it's free, and it now has one focus: health care. Adams County bills it as a community event connecting residents with local employers, training providers and resources in the healthcare field, with jobs that run from office support to direct case services. All skill levels are welcome, so you don't need a clinical license to get something out of the room.

There's a second reason to go if you speak two languages. The county is offering free medical interpretation training for bilingual residents working toward certification. Spots are limited, and you apply in person at the fair, so bring your questions and be ready to sign up on the spot.

Registration runs through Connecting Colorado, the state's workforce system, and it's open now. If you've ever filed for unemployment in Colorado or worked with a workforce center, you likely already have an account. If not, creating one takes a few minutes.

⚠️ Don't Drive to the Wrong Building

Adams County runs two human services buildings, in two different cities. Both of these job fairs are at 4430 South Adams County Parkway in Brighton, on the county government campus. 💵 The Wage Line Runs Right Through This Metro

Here's a piece of Denver-area math that catches people out, and it's directly relevant to a job fair held in Brighton.

Colorado's statewide minimum wage is $15.16 an hour in 2026. Denver has its own, higher local minimum: $19.29 an hour, with a tipped rate of $16.27 for qualifying food and beverage workers who take in at least $3.02 an hour in documented tips. Adams County has not adopted a local minimum wage, and neither have Brighton, Commerce City, Thornton, Northglenn or Westminster. Statewide, only Denver, Edgewater, the city of Boulder and unincorporated Boulder County have local rates of their own.
