Articles on LocalJobPage are published under the byline LocalJobPage Team. This page explains who we are, how our stories are put together, and how to reach us about a mistake.
Who we are
LocalJobPage is an independent network of local job boards covering cities across the United States. Our job news section covers the local hiring stories job seekers actually need: who is hiring, upcoming job fairs and hiring events, new businesses opening, and changes to pay and benefits at major employers.
We are not affiliated with the employers we write about unless an article says so. When you apply, you apply directly with the employer through their own application page.
How our stories are produced
- Sources. Stories are based on public information: employer announcements and careers pages, official event listings, government and workforce-agency releases, and local news reports. We link to the original source or official page wherever we can.
- Writing. Articles are thoroughly researched and drafted, working from those sources.
- Checking. Key facts (dates, times, locations, pay figures and how to apply) are checked against the original source before an article is published. If a detail can't be confirmed, we leave it out or say it is unconfirmed.
Keeping stories current
- Every article shows when it was published and, if its content has changed since, when it was updated. Times are shown in the local time of the city you're viewing.
- Job fair and hiring-event articles are marked once the event has passed, and are retired from our upcoming job fairs page about a month later, so you don't land on an old event.
- We regularly review older articles for events that have passed, outdated details and broken links.
Corrections
If you spot an error, or you're an employer and something about your company is out of date, please contact us and include the link to the article. We review every report, correct confirmed mistakes promptly, and the article's "Updated" time will reflect the change.
